James Stricklin, of Maryland, carrying a pistol, called at the President's residence at tho White House, Washington. Ho complained of persecution, and implored Mr. Taft's-intervention on his behalf. ! Stricklin was arrested. It is believed that he is insane. Ho was similarly arrested when carrying two pistols at the White House a year ago.
