Applications for the position of secretary to the new Hospital and Charitable Aid" Board were considered by the Finance and Endowments Committeo of the board yesterday afternoon. About one hundred applications were received, and these, it is understood, were narrowed down to half a dozen by the x committee. The final selection will be made at the meeting of the hoard on Tuesday next. The salary offered ia £350 a year.
