A claim for .£3 3s. for nursing fees was brought by Edith Adcock against Herbert Mallinson. Evidence was called with a view to showing that plaintiff, a nurse, attended defendant's wife during an illness., Defendant contended that th« nurso I had been engaged for a fortnight, end had only remained for nine days. Plaintiff said that there was no arrangement as to a special engagement for ix term. His Worship gave judgment for defendant, no costs being allowed to either side. Mr. Buddlo appeared for plaintiff, and Mr. Organ for defendant. AN INDUSTRIAL CASE. As a result of tho hearing of evidence on Wednesday; in tho case of tho Amalgamated Society of Carpenters and Joiners r. Francis Geo. King, a member of the society, a claim for the recovery of £1 15s. Id., arrears of payments to the society, judgment was given for. plaintiffs for the amount claimed, and costs 6s. Mr. Hindmarsh appeared for I plaintiffs and Mr. A. R. Atkinson for | defendant.
