Half pint - lentils, pints water, 1 onion, 2 stalks of. celery, 2 sprigs of parsley, G white peppercorns, 1 blade of mace, 1 tablespoonful of Hour, loz. butter,. £ pint of inilk, pepper and salt to taste. AVash the.lentils, put them into & pot with the water, sliced vegetables, mace, and peppercorns. Simmei until tho lentils are tender—about 1' hour. Kub through o sieve, into a basin; melt tho butter in.a saucepan, stir in the flour, and stir until it boils; boil for 3 minutes, and pour over it the soup; make quito hot, season to taste and serve. FOR TO-MORROW. 1J dozen .oysters. Small loin of mutton. . Artichokes. , Maccaroni cheese. FOR SUNDAY. Stock. Vegetables. '.Shoulder of veal. Forcemeat., Brussels sprouts. ' Ingredients'for plain plum pudding. FOR SUPPER, lobster. Lettuce. Mayonnaise. Apples. Pastry. . Prunes. Sago. Cream.
