Deductions- of premiums in the caso of ministers of religion, are provided for in an amended regulation under tho Government Life Insurance Act, gazetted yesterday. The new regulation reads as follows-.—ln tho case of life-insurance policies effected under the said Act on the lives of ministers of religion whose names are duly registered under the Marriage Act, 1908, deductions shall be made from the rates of premius as follow:—(a) Whole-life insurances: A deduction at the rate of five pounds per centum per annum, calculated upon tho whole premium, (b) Endowment insurances: A deduction at tho rato of five pounds per centum per annum, calculated upon the temporary insurance premium only. (c) Double-endowment insurances: No deduction: Provided the Commissioner may discontinue such deductions at his discretion if the person assured ceases to reside in Now Zealand." Tho engineers' dispute, which has been referred to the Arbitration Court by Mr. P.
