Pure Foods Conference, composed of merchants, doctors, and departmental experts, has formulated a uniform standard for foods which, it is claimed, while' protecting the public health, will proinoto inter-State trade and leave a fair margin of profit to the manufacturer and retailer. The scheme needs Parliamentary sanction. _" '■'~
