■ ' BRISBANE DEMANDS. By TeleeraDh-Press ABsociatioß--CoDjrlehl Brisbane, June 9. A conference between exporters of frozen produce and the Chamber of Commerce resolved to urge the Federal Government to try and arrange with the Canadian Government that the steamer service for which tenders are now being called shall be a CanadianAustralian service, and that Brisbane shall be the first and last Australian port of call; but that, in the event of Canada insisting upon New Zealand being included, the Federal Government insist on Brisbane being the • last port of call for the Commonwealth, and that Brisbane shippers be given an equitable allotment of frozen space, subject to shippers giving fourteen days' notice of their requirements.
It was also resolved that the freight on frozen products should be the same from the Commonwealth as from Npw Zealand, and that the Federal Government ondeavour to arrange for such products to enter Canada at the same rate of duty as from New Zealand.
