(Rec. June 9, 10 p.m.) • London, Juno 9. In the House of Lords the Earl of Beauchamp (who is Lord Steward and a prominent Liberal Peer) read King George's message acknowledging the Lords' address of condolence on tho death of the late King. Lord Rosebery added that his resolutions stood on their own foundations, and in no relation to the Government's veto resolutions. LORD ROSEBERY'S REFORM PLAN. Lord Rosebery's resolutions are as under 1. That in future the House of Lords shall consist of Lords of Parliament (a) Chosen by the whole body of hereditary Peers from among themselves, and by nomination by the Crown; (b) Sitting by virtue of offices and qualifications, held by them; (c) Chojen from outside. 2. That the terms of tenure of all Lords of Parliament shall be the same, except in the case of those who sit exofficio, who would sit so long as they hold the office for which they sit.
