Y.W.C.A. CONFERENCE.

SOCIALISM AND ATHEISM. By Telegraph-Press Assotiatlon-Copyrieht London, June 7. Mrs. Birks, Miss Hird, and other Australians, and New Zealanders attended the Young Women's Christian Association Conference. The conference was gratified with reports regarding Australia's efforts in the direction of training tho workers to assist the society's foreign work. Other problems discussed included that of hostels for women workers, and possibly the combating of a section of tho Continental Socialists, whose atheism it was alleged hampers the spread of the society's social and educational work.
