In the case of Dr. Patcuenko (charged with a whole series of murders, by poi6on, of wealthy persons who stood in the way of relatives or heirs) and of Count Lyassy (charged with bribing Dr. Patehenko to poison his brother-in-law, Count Bouturlin), Dr. Patchenko has confessed that, at Count Lyassy's instigation, ho injected into the veins of Count Bouturlin a vegetable poison.
[Count Bouturlin died suddenly. He was an officer of the Kussian Imperial Guards, and heir to JE700.000.1
