John Verran (Leader of the Labour party), moved that tho House adjourn. This was tantamount to a vote of no-cohlidence in thoPeakeButler Government. It was carried, tho voting being:— For tho motion 22 Against ".. 19 Mr. Peake and his colleagues immediately resigned. Mr. Verran has formed a Ministry. The ballot for portfolios resulted: — Premier, and Minister for Works. —Mr. Verran. Treasurer and Minister for Lands.— Mr. Vaughan. Attorney-General and Minister for Northern Territory.—Mr. Denny. Minister for Education. —Mr. Conybeer. ' Colonial Secretary.—Mr. Wallis. Minister for Industry and Agriculture. —Mr. Wilson. M.P.'S SALARIES. £200 NOT A LIVING WAGE, MUST BE DOUBLED. (Rec. Juno' 3, '9140 p.m.) Perth, June 3. The Labour Congress, -resolved in favour of raising the salaries of members of Parliament to £400 a year. It was contended that the present salary of £200 a year is totally inadequate as a living wage.
