» TERMS OF SOUTH AFRICAN TOUR. (Rec. June 3, 11.10 p.m.) London, June 3. Dr. Poidevin, the ex-Australian cricketer, in a letter to the "Daily Express," referring to the South African Cricket Association's terms for the tour of the South African team in Australia, declares it unlikely that the Australian Board of Control will give a £5000 guarantee for a short season, unless the board is allowed to approve the personnel of the visiting team. If the South Africans play good cricket, they will have nothing te fear -financially. He does not think that tho hitch will affect tho scheme- of triangular matches. [An Australian cablegram published yesterday stated is proceeding between the Board 'of Cricket Control and tho South African Cricket Association with reference to the terms for tlie South African (earns tour in Australia. The board offers tho same terms as were granted the ilarylebone C.C. team—namely, 50 per cent, of the ' gate money. The South Africans, however, want a guarantee of .£SOOO. This is unlikely to be conceded."]
