LOOKING OUT FOE A LIONESS. Tho loneliness of "King Dick," at the Newtown Zoo, has not been forgotten by the Keserves Committee of the City Council. At last night's meeting of the oouo. oil it was reported that tho oommittei had had offers for the sale of animals and birds for the Zoo, but, with the exception of a lioness, they recommended that the question of purchase of animals be held over. The committee were making further inquiry with a view to tha purchase of a lioness.
