FOX-TERRIER CLUB.
FORMED IN WELLINGTON. A meeting for the formation of • a Wellington Fox-terrier Club was held at the Albert Hotel on Wednesday evening. There were present: Messrs. J. T. E. Harxop, S. Burrows, C. T. Cimino, C. Griffiths, H. Griffiths, L. Griffiths, J. Kennedy, A. Minogue, H. Muir, and H. Stanley. Mr. Harrop was voted to tho chair, and Mr. Stanley was appointed acting-secretary. Several apologies for absence were received. The chairman stated that though the fancy had gone ahead in all other centres it had been very much neglected in Wellington. He urged that something should be done for its revival in this city. Mr. Muir proposed that a Wellington Fox-terrier Club be formed. . Mr. Stanley seconded the motion, and a lively discussion followed, Mr. Minogue urging the formation of a North Island club instead. Mr. J. Kennedy proposed postponing action until after the annual meeting of the New Zealand Fox-terrier Club. The motion was finally carried, and the following committee elected Messrs. Cimino, H. _ Griffiths, L. Minogue, Muir, and Stanley. ' The committee will submit draft rules at a later meeting.
