LODGE MEETINGS.
Bro. L. Boock presided over the quarterly meeting of the Excolsior lodge of Druids, No. 11, in the Druids' Hall on Monday njght. Visiters from Pacific, Poneke, Inglewood, Coronation, Pride of Brooklyn, Island Bay, and Melrose Ledges were present. Nominations were received of officers for the next half-year as follow:—Arch Druid, Bro. Browne; ViceA.D., Bros. Salt, Leigh, Withers; A.D. Bards, Bros. M'Elwain and Hearfield; V.A. Bards, Bros. | AVilson, Gauntlett, Austin, "Waterworth, and Tyson; secretary, Bro. Frank Jennings; treasurer, Bro. G. Lackland; 0.G., Bro. Win. Noot; minute secretary, Bros. Smyth and Lord; organist, Bro. 10. J. King; auditor, Mr. Bolton; J.P.A., Bro. L. Boock; press representative, Bro. E. J. King. Three new members were initiated. A hearty vote of thanks was recorded to the visiting brothers. Tlib proceedings then closed after discussiQn of various matters connected with the lodge. Bro. King, organist, rendered several selections during the evening. The Pioneer Lodge No. 11., X.0.G.T., held its usual session in the Rechabite Hall, Manners Street, on Monday evening. Bro. C. S. Kelly presided over a good attendance of members and friends. One candidate was initiated, one re-ad-mitted, and one proposed for membership. A guessing competition was conducted by Bro. A. B. Thomson, G.C. The prizes were won bj Sis. Collins and Bro. 'Weston. Votes of thanks to visitors and Bro. A. B. Thomson were carried by acclamation, several visitors responding. The usual weekly meeting of the Sunbeam Juvenile Temple, No. 30, 1.0. G.T., was held in the Methodist Mission Ilall, Tory Street, last night. Sister E. Petherick, C.T., presided over a full attendance. Three candidates were received into membership. During the evening the C.T. presented Sister Isabel Sinclair, A.S.J.M., with a writing case, as a token of their appreciation of her good work. The superintendent spoke with regrcfc of Sister Isabel's departure from Wcllingbn. The recipient suitably responded, wishing the temple every success in the future. Fraternal greetings were received from Hawke's Bay and Marlborough.
