In connection with the newly-elected State Parliament,- Sir Jenkin Coles (a member of the Pealte-Butler Government's following, which numbers 20 as against Labour's 22) has been re-elected Speaker of the Assembly.
The Governor's speech at the opening of Parliament t-o-morrow mil' make no reference to future policy, in recognition of the fnet that, immediately the House meets, Mr. Verran, Leader of the Labour party, will move a no-confidence motion, and the Peake-Butler Government will have to retire. It is estimated that the financial 'year will end with a surplns of .£400,000.'
