SCOTT'S POLAR DASH.
AN EMPIRE EXPEDITION. London, May 31. Captain Scott and the officers irho will accompany him on his expedition to tho Antarctic regions were entertained at lunch, at the Holborn Kestauraut by the' Royal Geographical Society. / Responding to the toast of his health, Ciiptiiiu Scott referred with pride to the ■Australians, New Zealanders, and other colonials who wero associated with tho expedition. He claimed that ho had tried to make it an Empire expedition; it was thoroughly representative of the hardihood and energy of the race.
