ELLICE STREET QUARRY.
—4 FALL OF 100 FEET. 'A little boy named Wilson, 6 years d age, residing in Tory Street, fell over the edge of the quarry at the top of Ellice Street, shortly alter midday yesterday, and sustained serious injuries, which w> elude a fractured jaw and fractured forearm. Tho boy was also badly braised about the body. It appears that when tin workmen at tho quarry were at lxmcii they heard a dull thud in the quarry, but no ono took any particular notice oi it, as it is 'not unusual for a fall of ston« to occur on the steep face of the cliff. When the men returned to work aftei lunch, however, they found the lad unconscious at the foot of the cliff. The boy had apparently fallen from the tos of the cliff, a distance of about ICO feet Assistance was obtained, and the boy was. removed to the hospital in an unconscious condition. He, however, regained consciousness during the afternoon. At a late hour last night there was no change in the boy's condition.
