Rome; May 29. The French biplanist, M. Paulhan (who won the London to Manchester prize, holds the altitude record, and has been described by Mr. Wilbur Wright as "the world's most skilful flier"), flew from Yerona (Italy) to Solferino. He alighted on the battlefield, and laid a wreath on the tomb of French soldiers who fell there. H® then flew back to Verona. "AUTOMATICALLY STABLE." A LONG FLIGHT WITHOUT USING STEERING GEAR. London, May 29. Lieutenant Dunne made a two-and-a-half miles' flight at the Island ijf Sheppey, Kent, without using the steering levers of his machine.
