' Brisbane, May 30. The - death is announced of Mr. John Thomas Annear, a Legislative Councillor, aged (18. [Mr. Annear, according to "Johns's Notable Australians," was born in Budock, Penryn, Cornwall, England, in 1812, and arrived in Queensland in ISG3. As partner in J. T. Annear and Co., railway contractors, he constructed tho Maryborough and Gympie railway, and was contractor for other important public works. Elected to the Legislative Assembly in 18fit, he represented Maryborough for eighteen years, and was Chairman of Committees in six sessions of Parliament. In 1902 he became a member of the Legislative Council. He was an alderman of Maryborough for fourteen years, and also Mayor, and chairman of the Royal Commission on the jWorks Department in 1900.]
