*— CAPTAIN SCOTT'S PLANS. Hy Telegraph—Press Association—Oopyrieht London, May 28. Captain Soott, lecturing at the Royal Institution, stated that on the filial journey from the winter station at M'Murdo Sound it was probable that after the first phase the- advance would have t-o be made by the men's unaided efforts. It would he only possible to beat Sir E. Shackleton's record by taking a larger party and sending back sections at intervals. It was by no means a ecrtainty that the Pole would be reached.
