l(y Telervaph—Press Association— l Oopyrlpthl London, May 27. At Newmarkot, a small town in the County of Cork, there lias been fierce fighting between supporters of Mi;. Willinm O'Brien (leader of tho Independent Irish Parliamentary Party) and supporters of the Nationalist (Redmomlite) Party. The police were powerless to stop tho disturbances, and a number of houses were wrecked. Finally, the police fired on the crowds, a man being shot dead during the fusillade.
