DISTRICT NURSES FUND.
'Past history indicates that the pub.Ec of Wellington'as a rule do not tighten up their-purse strings when' asked to support a deserving cause, and this attitude is exemplified by the. appeal made through the St. John Ambulanco Association for the district nursing - fund. During the past fortnight over £600 has been given and promised, and most of this sum" has been actually paid.
