Tho vacancy in the Now Zealand Uugby team to visit Australia, as a result of the disqualification of Mitchell by the Otago Rugby Football Union for six weeks, has been filled by the selection of Budd, of South Canterbury. In this connection, it is interesting to note that South Canterbury has not been represented in a team to visit Australia since 1593, ivhcii M'lntosh and Gardiiier, of that district, were included. Budd is a good forward. I General regret will be felt at the news that Cameron, of Taranaki, is unable to make the trip. If in form, Cameron .would most certainly have proved a tower of strength in tho therequarter line. Wilson, of Auckland, who is to take his place, is fast, but not such a finished player.
