FIRE LOSSES.
1 HOUSE AT LEVIN BURNT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Levin, May 23. A house owned and occupied by Alexander Saunders, near Moutoa, was burned to the ground on Saturday evening. An oil lamp flared, and tho curtains caught alight. It was thought the fire had been extinguished, but llames burst through the roof later. Part of the furniture was saved. Tho New Zealand Assurance Company had risks of ,£l3O on the house and .£IOO on tho furniture.
