WON BY LABOUR. " lly Tolagraph—Press Association-CoDyrleht. Sydney, May 23. An election to fill the vacancy for the Belmore seat in the State Assembly, caused by tho death of Mr. E. W. O'Sullivan, resulted in the return of Mr. P. J. Minahan (Labour) by a large majority over the other candidates, Messrs. J. Jones and G. T. Clarke.
[The by-election is of special interest in view of the approaching Now South Wales Stato general election, and tho big effort which tho State Labour party is making to repeat tho Labour succoss in tho Federal sphere.]
