LIVE STOCK SALES.

Messrs. Dalgcty and Co., Ltd., report :- At our Palmerston North salo yesterday we had a lair yarding oC both sheen and cattle. Breeding ewes were dull of sale, and several lines were passed at auction. We i.note:-liwo lambs, Bs. Id.; forward ewes, 55.; wethers, to 12s. 6d.; empty cows, £2, £2 IDs., £2 145., to £3; light fat cows, £4; heifers in calf, £4 17s. 6U. .

Messrs. Dalirety and Co., Ltd., Blenheim, report holding their weekly stock sale at Seddon this week as follows :-We had a good yarding itf over KM raised eheop and lambs. The attendance of buyers was average, but bidding was very slow, more particularly for store sheep, the reason for wliieli ie the want of feed. We sold practically everything under the hauimor, and prices ruled as follows :-Fat wethers. 13s. 6d.; fat owes, 7s. 9d.; fat lambs. Bs. 6d. to 10s.; ewe lambs, 7s. 7d. to 7s. 10cU shorn lambs. 4a. lCd., 6s. Id., to 6s. 7d.i wether lambs, ss. Bd.

Abraham and Williams, Limited, report :-At our Eale at Palmerston North on Thursday an average yarding was offered, and prices realised were as follow :-Hcavy fat ewes, 14s. 2d. and 14s. ad.; forward wethers. 135., 13s. 3d., 13-. 6d., and lte. 7d.; small two-tooth ewes in lamb, 11s. 2d.; ewe lambs, 7s. 2d.; wether lambs, 6s. 3d.; cull lambs, 4s. to 4s. 3d.; aged ewes in lamb, 4s. Ud. to 65.; fat cows, £4 10s. to £5 18s. 6d.; two-year steers, £5 25.; twoyear steers, £3 IBs. 6d.; small weaners, 11s. to 15s.

Mr. Newton King's weekly stock report is as follows :-At the Haymarket, on Saturday, but few pigs were penned, though 1,-ood prices were realised. Suckers made 3s. 6d. to 55.; stores, 10s. to 155.; porkers. 2Ca. 6d. to 29a. At Urenui, on Monday , , there was a fair yarding of cattle and sheep. The demand for small in-calf hi'irers was not so good as of late, but all other classes were well competed for. There were no weaners yarded. Empty heifers, 18-months, niado £2 15s. to £2 18s.; yearlings steers, £2 15b.; 18-monthu steers, £3 55.; in-calf heifers, £3 6s. to £4 10s.; do. good Duality and forward, £5 ss. to £5 165.; store cows, £2 10s. to £2 155.; forward cows, £3 ss. to £3 10s.; fat and forward do., £1 10s.; COW 6 in calf, £4 10s. to condition, £6 135.; ewe lamljs, Ss. 6d.; mixed lambs, Bs. Id.; do. small, ss. sd. to 6s. 3d.; f.m. ewes, 9s. At Stratford, on Tuesday, thoro was a big yarding of all classes of cattle. Though the demand wao not so keen as at previous sales, a fair amount of business was transacted.
