Advices by the English mail Btatc that the Cambridge othnological expedition will arrive in Western Australia next month under the leadership of Professor Brown, entomologist. Mr. Grant Watson is geologist. Western Australia was chosen as the scene of operations as being the least known part of the Australian Continent. A second expedition sent by. the Stockholm Academy of Science, under Dr. .Majoberg, will arrive in July. Dr. Majoberg will spend two years in the Kimberley district, the object being to solve animal and geographical questions, and to ascertain to what extent immigration has taken place from the Malay Islands and its influence on the. flora and fauna.'
