CESSATION OF RESCUE WORK. MINERS VIOLENT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, May 15. Owing to tho sealing up of the burning Wellington pit (at Whitehaven), in which 133 entombed miners have been abandoned as dead, the colliers have nearly reached a stage of rioting. The owner of the pjt, Lord Lonsdale, descended and examined the workings before agreeing to the sealing up of the mine.
