HAURAKI PLAINS SETTLEMENT.
(By Taleßraph.-Press Asjoeiatlon.l Auckland, May 13. ■ To-day was the final day for receiving applications for tho Hanraki Plains Settlement. The total number of applicants was 1309, representing between 5000 and 6000 applications. On Tuesday next tho Land Board will sit at Thames to examine applicants, and tho ballot will take place at tho Thames on Wednesday.
