PROPERTY SALE.
There was a. largo attendance at Messrs. Thomson and Brown's auction sale yest*day afternoon. A freehold property situate. Woodward Street. Wadestown, known as "Tho Mount." being a five-roomed dwelling -and outhouses erected on , u.- half acre of land, was sold for £650 to Mr. Meek. A Ncwtown property, situate in Hiddiford Street, opposite the Post Office, having a frontage of 35ft. by a depth of 109 ft., together with a. five-roomed residence and outbuildings, was knocked down to Mr. Ward, the purcbaso price being Silo. Tho Woolcombe Street property, which has mi area of 3 roods 25.4 perchw. together with three dwellings thereon, was passed in, the reserve not being renched. Noa. 217 and 219 Ingestfe Street, being fteven and ais rooms. respectively, were passed in, and the auctioneers have this property now for sale by private treaty. A meeting of local members of tho New Zealand Society of Accountants will bo held in the Chamber of Commerce, on Wednesday, May 18, at 7.30 pjn.
