BEOOKLYN CLUB HANDICAP. The first race, in connection with the Brooklyn. Club will be hold on Saturday afternoon, at the Hutt Park, over a distance, of a':, mile and a half, for novices only. After 1 the race the usual club run will be held. The train leaves Lambton Station at 1.20.

SWIMMING.

■ The Amateur Swimming Association of Australasia, is in negotiation with tho A.S.A.of England with regard ,to a visit to Australia of T. S. Battersby; the champion English swimmei.

BOWLS,

The match which was to have been played on Saturday last between the Kelburne and/ Karori Clubs, but which was postponed owing to tho death of the King, will take place on Saturday noxt, on the Kelburne green.
