THE MANAWATU ASSOCIATION. The competitions under tho auspices of the Manawatu Hockey Association wero commenced ycsteTday, in weather anything but pleasant, and tho ground was very slippery. In the senior contests, Post Office beat Old Boys A by 3 to 2, and Phoenix beat Old Boys B by 7 to 2, TechnicaJ School beat Fitzherbert by 5 to 2, and Feilding beat Palmorston bv 6 to 0. A challenge from tho Hereawa (Wellington) Club has been accepted by tho Palmorston High, School Girls, and the game will bo played on tho lattcr's ground on Juno 3. .
