FALL INTO A HOLD. Mr. Bowen, chief steward, of the New Zealand Shipping Company's Kaipara, fell down one of the holds of the vessel yesterday morning, and dislocated his shoulder. He was also injured internally, and was removed to the hospital. HAN FALLS DOWN A HATCHWAY. (By TelecraDh-Pross Aesociation.) Dunedin, liny 12. A man named Donald Geddes was the victim of a serious accident at Port Chalmers to-day. While engaged in loading the s.s. Pifeshire, he fell down tho hatchway, a distance of 30 feet.; When picked up ho was unconscious, and an examination showed that his injuries consisted of a broken thigh, two broken ribs, injury to tho left arm and head, and serious injury to tho jaw. He is in i> serious condition. Geddes is a married man with four children.
