THE RANGITOTO CHANNEL.
ANOTHER' SHOAL FOUND. . The fact of another shoal ■ having been discovered in the Rang'itoto Channel was brought up at Tuesday's meeting of theAuckland Harbour Hoard by Mr. J. IC. Kneen (says the Auckland "Herald"). Hβ stated' that it was , reported by the man in : the street that a second shoal of about 100 ft. in length and 50ft. in width had been discovered. After somo discussion it t> as agreed, that the harbourmaster be requested to. report to the chairman on the matter.' '
- The shoal that lias beer, discovered, it is stated, is not of any serious extent, and offers no danger to navigation. 'It is situated some 130 ft. orlMlft. from'tho Kaipara shoal in a S.W. by S. direction. It is about to, be removed.' The "sweeping of the channel, ■ whicli was conrruenced five or sin weeks ago, \ is" : 'still proceeding.
