IDy Teleeraph.—Pres3 Associations j , NAPIER POLL INQUIRY. THE PETITION DISMISSED., Napier, May 9. The Napier Harbour Loan Poll inquiry concluded to-day,- before Sir. M'Carthy, S.M. Counsel for petitioners said that' it could not justly be claimed that the inquiry had affected the poll to a sufficient extent to call for further investigation by petitioners, or to' ask his Worship to go furthor into the matter. Ho asked that the petition be dismissed. His Worship stated that he considercd'that the materials placed before him regarding double and treble voting did not justify him in investigating those instances. The petition was, therefore, dismissed, each party to pay their own costs, and the deposit to be returned.
