Greytown, Carterton, and Mastcrton were also served in this wnv several hours earlier than the first train from Wellington reaches tho places named, and tho whole edition was sold out a few minutes after arrival in each centre. Intenso interest was displayed in tho sad news relating to tho King's death, and a> further largo supply of papers had to be sent, by train to inset tho demand. On the Manawatu line the early distribution was equally successful, and tho supply had to bo supplemented bv the first train from the city. While these spccial services were being carried out, tho publishing of a very heavy edition for the city and 'outside districts was also being attended to.
