Zealand .Wheat, men. v "SYSTEMS OF THIEVIHQ." Ghristchurcn, May 6. In the Magistrate's Court to-day Henry George Cameron was sentenced to three weeks' imprisonment on each of 6even charges of theft. The poKca said that Cameron had stolen from railway carriages on country. trains, and had apparently carried out a • system oi thieving all over Christchnrch. Norman Smith, and- Stanley Sucher were each fined £10 and costs for having stolen seven bales of kapoo from the warehouse of Boss and Gksndining. Smith, in addition, was ordered to -pay back £7 14s. for tie stolen goods. According to the story of the police, accused had a system of thieving and disposing of goods which they" bad worked very cleverly SPURIOUS MONEY. Dunedln, MayS. A lad named Harris pleaded gnffly in the Magistrate's Court to-day to a charge of having possession of cotmterfeit coin at Palmerston South. He was committed to the Supreme Court far sentence.
