(By TelecraDh.—Special Correspondent.! Wanganui, May 5. Mr. E. A. Campbell has been elected patron and Mr. Ic. Bussell president of the Wangamii Agricultural Association for the ensuing j'ear. A meeting to consider arrangements for the Governor's farewell visit was held yesterday afternoon, when the chairmen of various local bodies were appointed a committee to carry the same through. The proposed programme includes a pub* lie reception in Cook's Gardens and a review of the Territorials; while, if agreeable to his Excellency, he will be motored round the district. A presentation will also bo made, but its exact form has not yet been decided.

In April the local tramways carried 109,712 passengers, against 97,655 for April Inst year, and the revenue was J2742, against .£691.
