BJall-Jones, gave a reception at tho Westminster Palace Hotel to, tho Governor-elect of New Zealand (Lord Islington) and Lady Islington, Among thoso who attended the reception were Sir George lleid (Australian High Commissioner), the Agents-General for tho several States, Lord Ranfurly (ox-Governor of New -Zealand), Sir Westby Perceval, (an 'ex-AgentGeneral for New Zealand) and Lady Perceval, Sir Charles Lucas and Sir Francis Hopwood (both of the Colonial Office), Sir Montague Nelson, Sir Walter Kennaway (lato of the High Commissioner's staff), Lady Kennaway, Dr. Chappie (lately of Wellington, and now a member of the British House of Commons), Major Dudley Aloxander (who was aide-de-camp to Lord Ranfurly when tho latter was Governor of New Zealand), Mr. C.-Tegot-meior, Mr. Wrny Palliser, and. the following New Zealandcrs:—M r. W. Acton Adams, Lady Stout nnd Miss Stout, Mrs. nud Miss Ballance, Mr. and Mrs. Callender, Mr. Justice Denniston, Captain Roami.sh, tho non. Charles Louisson, M.L.C., Dr. Angus,-Mr. R. M'Nab (exMinister for Lands), the Hon. Seymour. Th'orno George, H.L.C., and Mrs. Thome George.
