Duikmh, Bald win, Jones, Southgate, M'Kenzie, M'Ewan, Castle, Truman, Hayes, Findlay, and Ifamsilen. Hie matter of: the section of Jand belonging to the Iruslees of tho defunct Boys' Institute again came up for dis- • cussion. It was reported that the. solicitor htid given the board to understand that he was not prepared to advise it fo the effect thai the signatures .of two out of the three trustees would be sufficient to give effect to the'transfer of the section in question to the school. The lio.ird consequently resolved to hold the. matter over until next meeting, pending further report from the solicitor. . In connection with the proposal to establish a', cooking class, 11 youii:; Jauics had undertaken to attend.' The secretary was instructed to adrcrtise for. «ti instructor for this class, which is to be commenced forthwith. The director also reported, that he had. received, an offer from an instructor of chemistry, who is willing to take a class for schoolboys."
