OLD CHINA CASE.
' —* JUDGMENT IN CIVIL ACTION. By Telegraph—Press Association—QopyriKht London, May 2. The' executors of Charles Dickins, of Dickins and Joneg, Ltd., a well-known firm of drapers of Regent Street, London (who in May of last year were awarded J210.346 damages against Arthur Ellis, a Bond Street dealer, owing to the litter's fraudulent misrepresentation, in connection with sales of ohina), reoently began an action against Messrs. Christie, Man6on, and Woods, the auctioneering firm, for negligence in allowing spurious articles to appear on a catalogue of a sale of old china, some of which the late Mr. Dickins purchased, and of which Ellis was the vendor. Tho jury had found that there had been negligence on the part of Messrs. Christie, Hanson, and Woods in the preparation of the sale catalogue, but that plaintiffs had not proved monetary loss. Judgment was, for defendant, with costs. Plaintiffs were allowed costs on the negligence issue.
