Mr. M'Gowen, Leader of the Now South Wales Labour party, discussing tho State Labour party's policy for the coming elections, stated that the chief planks would be:— Decentralisation in railway policy. Reduction of members of the Stato Assembly to 54 by a rearrangement of the electorates before the elections. Nationalisation of sufficient coal mines to supply the State industries and harbour ferries. Compensation for injured workmen. An Appeal Board for public servants. A progressive land tax . in the'event of the Federal Parliament failing to pass such a measure. FEDERAL LABOUR MINISTRY. CAUCUS REPEATS ITS FORMER SELECTION. Sydney, April 30. The "Daily Telegraph,'* referring to •the fact that, with one exception, the last Federal Labour Ministry has been re-selection by the Labour party's caucus, says:—"Oa the whole, tho allotment of portfolios is impressively significant' of the party's disposition to trust the bridge which carried it over, and members of the last Fisher Government may fairly feel pride in the testimonial given them by their reselection." NOT CLASS-CONSCIOUS. London, April 39. Tho Tasmanian Agent-General, the' Hon. John M'Coll, speaking at the Ironmongers' Company banquet, said he believed the Commonwealth Labour Government would cease to be representative of a class since it had accepted responsibility, and would govern the Commonwealth for all classes. Britons need have no anxiety concerning the Australian Labour policy.
