The title of the new Governor of New Zealand (first given as Baron Islington, then as Baron Ilsington) is in the London Gazette. Sir John Dickson-Poynder, the Gazette states, will in future be known as Baron Islington (in the County of Ijondon). [Ilsington is a village in Devonshire. Islington is. a parish of the County of London, 2} miles north of St. Paul's.] • THE GOVERNOR'S STAFF. London, April 29. The private secretary to Lord Islington, the new Governor of New Zealand, will be Mr. Robertson Kerr Clark, aid the aide-de-camp Captain Makgili Chrichton Maitland, of the Grenadier Guards.
