SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Tho weather has been unsettled and cloudy on tho east coast of tho North Island, and gloomy at times, in many parts of the South'lsland, but generally fine. Moderate southerly winds have prevailed in the north, and northcrlies have increased in tho south, and a galo (anpivcntly local) Is reported at Kaikoura this afternoon. Present indications are for a falling barometer overywlicrc, with freshening northerly winds.
