SWOPE MURDER CASE.
STRONG EVIDENCE. TYPHOID CULTURES SUPPLIED. By Telegraph—Press Association-Oopyrieht (Rec. April 28, 11.5 p.m.) • Now York,' April 28. The trial of Dr. Hyde, for the alleged murder of Colonel Thomas Swopo, a millionaire philanthropist; was continued. Accused is charged with poisoning the Colonel (who'was his father-in-law), and with . infecting another member of the family with typhoid germs. iirecklin, a druggist, and three assistants produced books and testified that Dr. Hyde bought capsules of cyanide of potassium in September and December. Brecklin once telephoned and asked Dr. Hyde to verify the order. Dr. Hyde replied that he wanted the poison to kill dogs. ; " , . • Dr. Stewart, bacteriologist; testified that he supplied Dr. Hyde with cultures of typhoid germs in November and December. After this evidence was given, Dr. Hyde was removed in custody, thn Court refusing to allow further bail.
