: STATUE TO GAINSBOROUGH. r London, April 26. Mr. Bertram M'Kennal, the Australia soulptor, has been commissioned to execute a national statue of Thomas Gainsborough (the famous English artist who painted the Duchess of Devonshire and many other portraits and pictures). The statue will be erected at Sudbury, Suffolk, whom Gainst borough was born in 1727.
