BJORNSTJERNE BJORNSON.

' The death is announced of Bjornetjernc Bjomson, the Norwegian poet, dramatist, and novelist, who in 1903 received the , Nobel, prize ■ for literature; aged 77. , [Mr. Bjornstjerne Bjomson, author of "The Bridal March," '.'ln God's Way," and other works translated into English, had been in turn journalist, theatre manager, poet", dramatist, novelist, and lecturer. . For . years he had resided mostly in , Paris, -Tyrol, and Rome, but spent most of the summers on his farm in : Norway. He lectured in America in 1880-81, and had many devotees in English-speaking countries. He was a linquist, Bpeafing-English, French, Italian, and German.
