The two chief events of .the year were the erection and cohiple-, j 'A• e TmDasi wn and social'hall, and the incorporation of- the association as a corporate body. Two students have T Oll ln residence at the.gymnasium since its erection, as caretakers, and a room has been set apart. and furnished for accommodation. The .incorporation of, the association--ivas carried out on Maroh 11, 1810. It wis.felt that the attairs of the association were transacted on such an extensive scale that incorporation, was .'.absolutely necessary. Several amendments and. additions' to the ■constitution were made in ■ consequence. The report chronicles the other events of the year, the Capping Day celebrations, the annual-ball (which showed'a profit of ;£5 Is. 10d.), the performance of "Shackleton Out-Shacked," in aid of tho Mavor's . unemployed relief fund, the ■ ' establishment of three new clubs, men's common room, officers' training eorps, and tho • swimming club, the publication of "The Spike," and others.... "The thanks of the association are due," continues the report, "to Mr. H. . V. Von Haast, for judging the Capping songs; Mr. W. H. Bartlett, for presenting a photograph of Mr. Allan Macdougall; Mr. Hursthouso for presenting a punching ball; the press for their kind and generous services; and all those who so kindly and ably helped us in the recent bazaar."
