The leaders of the tariff reform movement are not disposed to adopt Lord Kosebery's suggestion, made in a letter to "The Times"—namely, to drop the tariff issue for the coming election and make it a straight fight on' the constitutional (Second Chamber) issue. The "Westminster Gazette" (Liberal) calls. attention to a statement that several farmers who are on the Tariff Commission, (set up by Mr. Chamberlain) are opposing the freo admittance of colonial corn. .
